Craig Rathbun - Principal

Craig has had a long and varied career in commercial real estate sales and property management spanning 40 years in Florida and Colorado, but achieved a lifelong dream of becoming a private pilot in 2015 at the age of 65. Craig worked as a farm hand next to a small general aviation airport when he was young, watching the crop dusters come and go, hoping that one day he could take to the skies himself. After the military, family, real estate company ownership and then grandchildren too, he finally got his chance and is passionate about aviation.

Craig owns and flies a 1968 Cessna Cardinal which he hangars in one of the T-hangars built by HG Hangar One at the Colorado Air and Space Port (formerly the Front Range Airport), where he is able to help manage, along with his partner Hugh Gommel, the hangars HG Hangar One has already completed at CFO, and help oversee the construction of the next 51 hangars to be built there in phase two, which is underway now.

Craig, who was born and raised in Sunburst Montana, is married to Jill, a Pediatric Speech Pathologist, has two children and two grandchildren, and is an Air Force Viet Nam veteran (enlisted 67 to 71). His faith and his family are everything to him, but when time permits and he’s not flying, camping is his other passion.
